Heart Scans

Many people are unaware of an undiagnosed condition until a scan makes it clear. Before receiving a heart scan from Life Savers Imaging, the patient in these images was unaware that a previously unknown medical condition existed. Due to our heart scan, this patient was able to seek specialized treatment to minimize the risk of a life-threatening cardiac episode.

The first symptom of heart disease may be a heart attack or possibly even death. Through early detection of heart disease and modifying your risk factors, the potential for advanced heart disease can be significantly reduced and, in some cases, reversed.

Our advanced EBT scanner is crucial in the early detection of heart disease. It is the only scanner that is FDA approved specifically for coronary artery diagnostic imaging. The procedure is quick, non-invasive, painless, and surprisingly affordable.

Lung Scans

We also offer imaging for the early detection of lung cancer. Did you know the five-year survival rate for lung cancer is only 14%? However, it's estimated the survival rate may be increased to 80% through early detection and treatment.

Lung Scan

Lung cancer tumors are typically the size of an orange by the time they are discovered through a conventional x-ray. Life Savers Imaging's advanced EBT scanner is capable of detecting tumors as small as a grain of rice. Through early detection of lung cancer tumors, Life Savers Imaging helps patients significantly improve their chances of survival. We detect abnormalities in people with the following risk factors:

  • Smoking
  • Secondhand Tobacco Smoke Exposure
  • Exposure To Cancer-Causing Agents Such As Asbestos, Radon, Or Agent Orange
  • History Of Tuberculosis Or Pneumonia

Body Scans

Scan your whole body in just a matter of minutes. Our full-body scans screens for the presence of heart and vascular disease, numerous types of cancer, and abdominal aortic aneurysms. They are also capable of detecting tumors in the lung, kidney, and liver; and will detect calcified kidney and gall stones, along with abnormalities in abdominal and certain pelvic organs.

Virtual Colonoscopies

Protect yourself from colon cancer with early detection screening. Since polyps can take years before becoming cancerous, colorectal cancer may be prevented with proper diagnostic imaging screening. Using EBT technology, we offer a new technique called "colonography" for the early detection of polyps.

Our virtual colonoscopy is less-invasive and safer than many traditional colonoscopies. Unlike the traditional methods, our virtual colonoscopy requires no sedation and eliminates some of the physical discomforts normally associated with traditional colonoscopies. After bowel preparation, 900 cross-sectional images of the abdomen are taken with our advanced EBT scan technology to render a three-dimensional picture of the colon. A radiologist will interpret your results and recommend any necessary next steps.

Bone Scan

Bone Density

Osteoporosis is a silent disease. Bones become fragile with age and are more prone to fracturing. This condition is responsible for 1.5 million fractures annually in the United States. A majority of the fractures occur in the hip, spine, and wrist.

You may not know you have osteoporosis until your bones become so weak that a sudden strain, bump, or fall can cause injury. If not prevented, or if left untreated, osteoporosis can worsen without notice until a bone breaks.

Our bone density scan detects these issues early. Specifically, we offer scans for the early detection of bone loss. Numerous therapies — including diet, supplements, weight-bearing exercise, and medication — may be implemented to slow or stop the progression of bone disease.

Our bone density scan may be appropriate for men, as well as premenopausal and postmenopausal women who have or do any of the following:

  • Smokes Cigarettes
  • A Diet Low In Calcium
  • Excessively Uses Alcohol
  • A Thin Or Small Body Frame
  • Family History Of Osteoporosis
  • Low Testosterone Levels (Men Only)
  • Uses Corticosteroids Or Thyroid Medications

Abdomen and Pelvis Scans

Abdominal CT (computerized tomography) scans enable physicians to detect issues within the abdominal cavity, including the:

  • Liver
  • Spleen
  • Kidneys
  • Pancreas
  • Adrenal Glands
  • Gastrointestinal Tract

Life Savers Imaging uses CT scans to aid in helping you detect:

  • Cysts
  • Abscesses
  • Infections
  • Tumors
  • Aneurysms
  • Enlarged Lymph Nodes
  • Foreign Objects
  • Internal Bleeding
  • Diverticulitis
